Our Team
Managing Nutrients PLUS
from the perspective of the native people of North America is at the
core of our success. Much like the Medicine Wheel, Nutrient PLUS’s
management team brings a wide range of expertise and experience to
holistically innovate and deliver fertilizer solutions which serve
our customers while improving water quality and the environment through
sound, research-based programs and fertilizers formulated with natural
ingredients.
President
John Moriarty has 30 years experience in the Green Industry.
He holds degrees in agronomy from Virginia Tech and in forestry
from Paul Smith's College of Arts and Sciences. He also owns
Brightleaf, a consulting company serving individuals, associations
and other companies selling products and/or services regarded
as bioethically conscious in pursuit of a more sustainable society.
He has presented at national conferences such as The Fertilizer
Institute’s Outlook & Technology Conference and the
Canadian International Turfgrass Conference. John provides Nutrients
PLUS with the leadership position in prudent nutrient management
strategies and its impact on clean water.
Corporate
Development
Kevin Neuman is responsible for strategic planning, partnership
development, business analysis and new venture development.
Kevin has 20 plus years of business experience in various settings
including consulting firms, Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurial
ventures where he has increased revenues and optimized operations.
He applies this varied industry experience to Nutrients PLUS.
Kevin holds a BA and MBA from the University of Chicago.
Operations
John Huber has 25 years experience owning and operating his
own professional lawn care company Enviroscapes. John steered
Enviroscapes successfully for over two decades by providing
the highest quality lawn care service possible. His company
set the standard for excellence in communities throughout metropolitan
Hampton Roads of Virginia. John became affiliated with Nutrients
PLUS in 2002 and was officially named to the management team
in 2006.
John manages Nutrients PLUS’ national production and logistics
platform.
Distribution & Logistics Associate
Brennan Calhoun joined Nutrients PLUS in February 2011 and brings significant logistics experience to the Nutrients PLUS Team. Most recently as an employee at The UPS Store in Virginia Beach, he assisted customers with service concerns and handled day-to-day operations. He also served in the building industry, working in the field operations of a former Virginia construction company.
Brennan is responsible for the processing of bagged goods and bulk materials, maintaining reports, assisting in inventory and handling incoming sales orders.
A Virginia Beach resident and graduate of Kellam High School, Calhoun is continuing his studies at Tidewater Community College for an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
Marketing
Janet Moriarty joined Nutrients PLUS in 2008. Janet has held
several marketing roles where she has created and implemented
innovative marketing programs resulting in new customers and
increased sales. For Nutrients PLUS Janet manages all marketing
communications, branding and field support.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from
St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana.
