One of our most valuable sources of recycled plant nutrients and organic matter is from the poultry layering industry. While most organic products are pellets from mills making cylindrical, extruded particles with edges that flake, this product, Nature Pure^®, is not a poultry litter containing bedding material such as saw dust. The high calcium diet for egg layers produces a nutrient rich, litter free compost with 9% calcium and the production minimizes salt levels common to less processed manures. The biological activity is preserved as composting processes involve no use of dryers and granulation occurs simultaneously.

With 1.6 million laying hens and sophisticated composting, the New Day Farms of Raymond Ohio operation has been recognized for its environmentally responsible farming practices in poultry and egg production. Through extensive research conducted by Ohio State University, New Day’s unique approach to processing this resource makes for a refined input into Nutrients PLUS’ formulations.
